Do you ever over schedule yourself and find “juggling” all the commitments is getting close to impossible?
I’ve been in that place in the last few weeks! So if you missed my email last week and wondering why this one is late – that’s why. I’m digging out but I’ve been way too busy lately!
But I did want to send you something so here’s FB post that Micheal DeMolina shared last year.
Fortunately my over busy hasn’t created quite this sort of “reversal” ; -)
This “exercise” illustrates the sort of shift of looking as self and the world we work to help our clients have.
Watching that shift is what keeps me in this field.
Today was the absolute worst day ever
And don’t try to convince me that
There’s something good in every day
Because, when you take a closer look,
This world is a pretty evil place.
Some goodness does shine through once in a while
Satisfaction and happiness don’t last.
And it’s not true that
It’s all in the mind and heart
True happiness can be obtained
Only if one’s surroundings are good
It’s not true that good exists
I’m sure you can agree that
It’s all beyond my control
And you’ll never in a million years hear me say that
Today was a good day
NOW, read from the bottom of this statement up to the top!
BTW I had an opportunity to spend some time with Micheal DeMolina at the ACEP Conference. A lovely and very sharp guy! If you ever have an opportunity to attend one of his trainings you’re in for a treat.
OK, back to the digging – what did I do with that shovel!
